Mission: Enrich lives through drumming

Located in the Midtown area of St. Paul, Minnesota, in the Fairview Business Center, 655 Fairview N, St. Paul, MN 55104.

Smiling Drum emphasis is on the ART of drumming and community music making. It also supports a lineage of female drummers through the repertoire of pieces that are taught and shared in community.

Classes are available for people with or without drumming or musical background.

We offer:

-A safe and welcoming atmosphere

-Drums and percussion instruments to share

Bio:

Marisa has been drumming since 1995. She started her journey with the drum at age 35 in the Twin Cities area. Her main teachers have been Colleen Haas and Kari Kjome. Since 2008 Marisa has developed her skills as a drum instructor, an ensemble Music Director and she is certified in HealthRHYTHMS- a wellness based drum protocol, and in Rhythm2Recovery - using drumming to support psychological stress.
